NSW - 1AC or Unarmed Guard/Crowd Control

NSW police regulate the Security Industry in NSW and require the Certificate II in Security Operations with specific units for licencing purposes. Only authorised Registered Training Organisations can deliver units for licensing purposes. 1AC or Unarmed Guard & Crowd Controller will give you a licence that cover most of the Security Industry, such as:

*Additional Training Required 

To perform these duties in NSW, you will be required to hold a Licence as a 1AC Unarmed Guard/Crowd Controller. NSW police issues these licences and they will require you to supply:

  • CPP20212 Certificate II in Security Operations (1AC)
  • 100 points of ID
  • Proof of Australian Work Rights/Australian Citizen Permanent Resident

Unarmed Guard

To work as a security officer you need the following units to obtain a licence in Victoria:

  • CPPSEC2001A Communicate effectively in the security industry
  • CPPSEC2002A Follow workplace safety procedures in the security industry
  • CPPSEC2003B Work effectively in the security industry
  • CPPSEC2004B Respond to security risk situation
  • CPPSEC2005A Work as part of a security team
  • CPPSEC2006B Provide security services to clients
  • CPPSEC2014A Operate basic security equipment
  • CPPSEC2015A Patrol premises
  • TLIE2007A Use communications systems
  • HLTFA311A Apply first aid

Crowd Control

To obtain a Crowd Control licence, you must complete units above and additional units below:

  • CPPSEC2010A Protect safety of persons
  • CPPSEC3002A Manage conflict through negotiation
  • CPPSEC2012A Monitor and control individual and crowd behaviour
  • CPPSEC2011B Control access to and exit from premises
